Seven and One Tales Under the Desert Stars
The series is inspired by two major Persian Literature of the 12th century: The Conference of The Birds by Attar, and Seven Beauties or Haft Peykar by Nizami. I weave personal stories with motifs from Iranian, architecture, manuscripts, and symbolism.

Inspired by twelfth-century Persian Poetry, Golbanou Moghaddas’s installation weaves personal stories with motifs from Iranian, architecture, manuscripts, and symbolism. Here, Moghaddas takes the form of an owl, representing an outsider, traversing narrative etchings that depict the real-life experiences that she believes leads her towards enlightenment and a sense of unity. These works live within an installation marked by Iranian arches and night sky, providing a quiet and intimate environment for viewers to navigate through the etchings.
