Golbanou is a narrative artist based in California but her roots still in her motherland, Iran. In her early childhood she was educated by her parents, her grandmother, and her wonderful community of friends and neighbors by the beautiful Caspian Sea. She continued her education under the mentorship of Professor Farsa Sadeghi and Professor Shahram Golparian at Azad University of Tehran. She moved to London in 2008. During her MA in Communication Design she focused her practice on printmaking, specializing in Etching. Her tutors Andrew Foster, Gary Powell had major influence in guiding her in the path of editorial illustration. In 2012 she moved to the US where she completed an MFA in Printmaking. She has since then has devoted her time to partial teaching and fine arts.
